The Restoration of Historic and Antique Metalwork involves the repair and or refabricating of corroded, missing or damaged elements. Where Anderson Ironworks differs from most others is, we can emulate the craftsmanship of the master blacksmiths of the past while incorporating modern techniques to arrest future corrosion and failure of the metalwork.

In specifying a restoration, there are often difficult decisions to be made by the owners. Frequently driven by budget, having a skilled metalsmith helps you in making the informed decisions needed to develop the full scope of work, which in turn helps set the expectations for the finished project, and further enables us to make sure those expectations are met.
Our goal with Historic Restoration is to ensure there is no visual difference between the old craftsmanship and the new work and to create ironwork that the original smith would approve of and admire.
